Notes for William Case Titt
Hi Mike,
I found some information on Mary Ann Clift/Cluff.....It was listed on Film #052816 at the LDS Family History Library, This film showed the marriage records of "St. Louis, Missouri 1804 -1876". It showed that Mrs. Mary Ann Clift married William Case Titt on 21 April 1853. It also showed they were married by Elder (?) Eldredge and it was filed and recorded on Aug. 17, 1853 by S.D. Barlow, recorder. The book - volume 6, page 190. At least now we know it is spelled Clift. I didn't find the divorce, but I'll keep looking. Looks like he first married Mary Ann Spershott, then my relative, Mary Ann Clift , and then Elizabeth Spershott. Good luck, hope this helps.

I don't personally know anything about her. BUT the research done on the Titt family is well documented. You can be assured that it is correct, several people have researched this line, and all I have done is merge and check their research to remove/ ammend any conflicts.
Can you add anything to this tree, please?

I have been checking for a Mary Ann Clift. I know that she was married to a Thomas Clift who supposedly died in St. Louis, MO about 1849. I was surprised to find her married again in the Ancestry.com, database: St. Louis, Missouri Marriages, 1804-76. There it showed she married William Case Titt - 21 April, 1853 in St. Louis, Missouri. Anyway, I was wondering where you found the name Mary Ann Cluff? Is she the same person? I found you as the submitter for William Case Titt on the Ancestry World Tree Viewer in Ancestry.com. These Clift ancestors of mine are really giving me a run around. Thanks for any help!
