You never left her home without a part of her. My fatherLOVED her.
As a young girl, she married Mr. Alan Gordon-Leslie. Theylived in V ancouver,
B.C. when their children were young. Mr. Gordon-Leslie was
"lent to gambling." Upon his return from one particularlosing stre ak, he had
to dismiss the nanny, stableman, and the housekeeper. Heeventuall y left the
family. The last time they heard from him was in 1910.Aunt Lotta t ook her
children to Portland and had to place them in an orphanage.Her son b ecame very
ill, so she moved them out.
Later she married Merle Smith. They were married manyyears, until h e passed
away.
