Sacred to the memory of Anne, only daughter of Reverend James O'NEIL of
Ballysharon, Co Donegal, Ireland, who married Thomas BASKERVILLE Esq; and
lived a wife of only 16 months, she died in the year 1768 and is buried in Ireland.

of his second wife, Jane, youngest daughter of Thomas BISHOP, Gent, of
Kinsale, Ireland, died 22 Jan 1809 aged 60 yrs.

Here rest the remains of Thomas BASKERVILLE, Esq; descended from an ancient Norman lineage. In very early life he devoted himself to his King and country and served in Germany under the Marquis of Granby and afterwards in Ireland and the West Indies always with distinguished honour.
He graduated in his promotion from the Ensign to the Lt Colonel most creditably for himself and most respected and esteemed by others. He was for many years in the 50th Regiment of Infantry and finally promoted to the 62nd.
Born at Rickardson, Winterbourne Bassett, Wilts, he died at Poulton House in this Parish 4 May 1817 aged 85 years, leaving no issue.
He married 1st Anne, only daughter of the Rev. James O'Neil, of Ballyshannon, county of Donnegal, in the Kingdom of Ireland, who died in the year 1768: and secondly, Jane, the youngest daughter of Thomas Bishop, of Kinsale, Gent.
In the same vault with her husband, Thomas Baskerville, Esq. rest the remains of his second wife, Jane, youngest daughter of Thomas Bishop, of Kinsale in the Kingdom of Ireland. She died Jan 22nd 1809 aged 60 years, beloved and lamented.
