From Roy Coggins book; Article No. 459, page 197 in Montgomery CountyHeritage, North Carolina Vol. I, 1981, deals with the family of DanielEpps III in which the author, Jean R. Epps, discussed the marriage andparentage of Patience Coggin. She is probably more correct than I am onmost of the information but I do believe Patience is the daughter of AnnPowell Coggin rather than Allyss Elizabeth Benson Coggin. The ages ofPatience and Pleasant are also suspect and need additional study.Pleasant had a sister Rabecca, born 28, July 1771 in Sussex County,Virginia. (Sussex County, Order Book 1757-p.332)
