From Roy Coggins' book, "Descendents of Coggin (Cogan), John 1590-1658;""Allyss Elizabeth's mother willed one hundred acres of land to SimonRiley, the first son of John and Alyss, after his birth. She was sohappy for having a grandson, that she had to express her pleasure bymaking a gift that would be appreciated. john and Alyss held this landfor Simon until he was of legal age and then sold it to a Mr. Roland inMontgomery County, North Carolina. Allyss married Isaac Vincent afterJohn died in 1793. I have no particulars on this marriage except Alyssleft an inheritance to two of her younger children, Jonathan andElizabeth Coggin."
