Jesse Floyd says of his daughter:

"The name Kelsey came from an attempt by her mother to give her a namethat wasn't that common. Kelsey's mother first became aware of the nameby watching the television show Cheers with actor Kelsey Grammer in thecast. Kelsey's father claims Rene' came from a former Cajun boyfriend ofher mother's. There is a Rene' Floyd buried with other Floyd familyrelatives in Wake Forest Cemetery in Mississippi but I don't know thefamily connection.

"She's a blonde headed fireball that loves musicals, dance, andsoftball. Kelsey has been involved in dramas at church, school, and withthe Music Theater Louisville Drama Camp. She has her mother's sarcasmand her father's temper and patience. She claims to hate school butalmost always signs up for intercession classes.


"She was a Friday the 13th baby."
